Dealing with the administration of estates
At Rhodda & Co LLP, we deal with the administration of estates; obtaining grant of probate when the deceased left a will, and letters of administration when they did not. We can deal with the whole process from informing the bank and other asset holders through to preparing estate accounts showing the money received in and paid out, and the ultimate distribution of the estate. Alternatively we offer a Grant only service whereby we complete the paperwork for the Probate Registry on your behalf leaving you to deal with all other aspects of the estate yourself.

Our Charges for Probate
Grant only – you provide the information and we complete the paperwork. Our charges will be £850 plus VAT where the application can be made online or £950 plus VAT where a paper application is required.
Grant only where Inheritance Tax is payable or it is necessary to complete the full Inheritance Tax account - you provide the information and we complete the paperwork for the Grant and Inheritance Tax. The costs will depend on the estate involved and will be calculated on a time spent basis.
Full probate – we obtain values for the assets, complete the paperwork, collect in the assets, distribute the estate and prepare estate accounts. Costs vary depending on the estate but based on an hourly rate of £300.00 plus VAT for our senior solicitors.
An estimate for the expected work will be provided following the initial meeting. For a simple probate fees are likely to be in the region of £3,000 to £10,000 plus VAT.
